MISSION: The Liturgical Commission works with the clergy to plan Sunday worship. The word “liturgy” can be translated as “the work of the people”. Reconciliation has, from its inception, been a place that enjoys a variety of liturgical practices that connect the people gathered here with God and with one another.
WHAT’S INVOLVED: To serve on the Liturgical Commission, lay people take a brief course on liturgical traditions and meanings in the Episcopal church. After the course, members contribute to the creative process of planning liturgies and services that branch out from our traditional worship while remaining true to our Anglican and Episcopal identity. The group meets about 5 times a year, just before each new liturgical season – Advent, Christmas, Epiphany, Lent, Easter, and Pentecost. The group usually meets just after the 10:30 worship service.
HOW TO BE INVOLVED: If you wish to join “the work of the people” on this team, or if you have further questions, please fill out the form below.
